Common questions.
The ones we hear most often. Each service has its own FAQ too, linked from the bottom of this page.
Pricing & scope
How we cost work, what is included in a proposal, and what stays out.
How do you price projects?
Fixed-scope, fixed-price for every build. After a scoping call we write a one-page spec with a single number on it. We don't bill hourly and we don't add scope mid-project, if the scope changes you either sign a small addendum or we park it for a follow-up.
What does a typical project cost?
The Sprint is the only fixed public price: from £1,500 for a one-day audit, scaling up by org size and stack complexity. Solutions, the builds that follow, are scope-driven. After the Sprint we write a one-page fixed-scope, fixed-price proposal for your specific situation. The price emerges from the work, never from a category. The Sprint fee is credited in full against your first Solution if you proceed within 90 days.
Do you offer ongoing support?
Yes, two ways. Run is a monthly maintenance package, hosting, monitoring and small fixes within the existing scope. Priced as part of your post-Sprint proposal. Net-new work, additional workflows, new features, design evolutions, comes in as a new Solution, scoped and fixed-price like the original build. We do not run an hours-based retainer.
Process & timeline
How a project runs from first call to handover, week by week.
How long until we go live?
2 to 10 weeks depending on the shape. Audit: 1 day. Integrations: 2 to 6 weeks. Workflow builds: 3 to 6 weeks. Internal tools: 4 to 10 weeks. AI builds: 4 to 8 weeks. Fixed timeline once scoped.
What does your team look like?
Two to three engineers per project, depending on shape, plus a project lead. Same team start-to-finish. No subcontractors. No account managers between you and the builders.
How involved do we need to be?
One executive sponsor available for a weekly 30-minute review, plus access to the team(s) doing the work for ~2 to 3 hours per week during scoping. After scoping, ~1 hour/week is plenty.
Tech & tools
What we build with, and where we will meet you in your existing stack.
What tools do you use most?
n8n, Make, Zapier (for orchestration). Supabase, Postgres, Cloudflare (for data & serverless). Next.js + Vercel (for internal apps). Frontier LLM APIs. Stripe, Xero, HubSpot, Slack, Airtable, Notion (where you already use them).
Will you work in our existing stack?
Yes, that's the default. We push back only when a tool is genuinely unfit for the job, and we'll explain why before we suggest anything else.
Do we own the code?
Yes, fully. We work in your GitHub from day one. Every commit is yours. If we get hit by a bus, a competent web developer can pick it up.
AI questions
What we actually do with models, and how we stop them embarrassing anyone.
Which LLM do you use?
Whichever fits, usually frontier LLMs for heavy reasoning, smaller open models for high-volume classification. Builds are model-agnostic so a config change swaps one for the other.
How do you stop hallucinations?
Context layers that ground the model in real data, confidence thresholds, eval harnesses with golden test sets, and human queues for low-confidence cases. We never put a raw LLM in front of a customer.
What do AI builds cost to run?
AI usage costs depend on the job and scale with volume. We size it during design, itemise it on your proposal, and tell you up front exactly what running it will cost on the providers you choose. No surprises.
Working with us
Where we sit, how we fit alongside your team, and what we do not take on.
Where are you based?
UK-based, working UK hours. Remote-first. Happy to come on-site for kickoff and key reviews if you're in or near London.
What sectors do you work in?
B2B SaaS, fintech, e-commerce, food & hospitality, professional services, devtools, marketplaces. We're careful in regulated spaces (healthcare, gambling, insurance) and will tell you on the call if we're the right fit.
What if it doesn't work?
Then we fix it. Every build comes with a 30-day support window. If the build doesn't hit the goals we wrote into the scoping doc, we keep working until it does, at our cost.
