Automation

Automation that fits any team size.

Every business has eight or nine jobs that someone does by hand, every week, sorting sales leads, sending invoices, welcoming new customers, sorting support emails. We turn them into automations running on n8n, hosted on your own infrastructure. There's a path for any team, scoped to fit.

Three doors. Pick the one that fits.

All three sit on n8n, run on your infrastructure, and come with full hand-over. The difference is scope, single workflow, bundle, or bespoke build.

Single Automation
Fixed scopescoped from the Sprint

One workflow, end to end. The smallest viable build.

  • One automation, fully built and tested
  • n8n set up on your infrastructure (or ours, if you'd rather)
  • Connected to your existing tools
  • Error alerting + monitoring
  • Written runbook for your team
  • 1 to 2 weeks to live
  • 30-day fix-anything window after launch
Bigger scope, scaled price, named by the Sprint Start small →
Workflow & Ops
Fixed scopescoped from the Sprint

Complex builds that need custom logic beyond n8n. Bespoke code where it earns its keep.

  • Bespoke code where n8n alone won't do it
  • Multi-system orchestration with state management
  • Custom data layers, queues, replay tooling
  • Production-grade monitoring + dead-letter queues
  • Documented architecture + full source on your GitHub
  • 4 to 10 weeks depending on scope
  • 30-day support + Run for ongoing maintenance

What we build

The jobs we most often automate.

Tap any of these to see what the automated version actually does. The same patterns show up across every business we've worked with, different shapes, same underlying jobs.

What you get

n8n running on your infrastructure (DigitalOcean, Hetzner, your existing servers, whichever fits). Automations fully built and tested. Connected to your existing tools. Error alerting so you know when something fails. Written runbooks. Your team trained. Full hand-over, you own everything and we don't disappear if you stop paying us.

What you don't get

A platform you have to keep paying us for. Software locked to our servers. Account managers between you and the people building things. Hourly invoicing. A six-month plan when a four-week build would do. Anything you can't keep running yourself once we're done.

How we work

How we work is different.

Most agencies sell hours. We sell scope. One-page proposal, fixed price, fixed timeline. Fewer surprises, less arguing about what counts.

The old way

  • 😩Six-month roadmaps before any code ships
  • 😟One enterprise platform pretending to do everything
  • 😞Hand off the spec, disappear, invoice
  • 😔Demos that don't survive contact with reality
  • 🙁You depend on the agency, forever

The Intellilabs way

  • Tight scopes, shipped in 1 to 6 weeks
  • 🛠️Built on n8n, on your infrastructure
  • 🤝A small team that sits in your Slack
  • 📋Runbooks + alerts on every automation
  • 🔑You own everything, we don't gatekeep
FAQ, Automation

Common questions on automation builds.

What we automate, how we keep it boring and reliable, and what running it actually costs.

Why pay for a build when Zapier is cheaper?

Zapier and Make are good tools. If a single Zap genuinely solves your problem, use it, we'll say so on the call. We charge for a proper build because we set up n8n on your own infrastructure, build the workflow with error handling and alerting, connect it to your existing systems, document it, and train your team. You end up with something you own that won't quietly fail at 3am, the version most people skip and regret.

What's n8n and why do you use it?

n8n is an open-source automation tool, think Zapier, but you run it yourself. You get more power (and lower per-execution costs) without being locked into someone else's pricing or platform. Combined with an LLM for the clever logic steps, we can build automations in a fraction of the time it used to take, which is why our pricing works.

How long does a build take?

A Single Automation is 1 to 2 weeks. The Automation Starter bundle is 3 to 5 weeks for 5 to 7 workflows. Bespoke Workflow & Ops builds are 4 to 10 weeks depending on complexity. We give you a fixed timeline before we start.

Do we have to leave our current tools?

No. n8n connects to nearly anything, HubSpot, Salesforce, Xero, Slack, Zendesk, your custom API. We use what you already have. The only time we'd push back is if a tool genuinely can't do the job, and we'd explain why.

What about add-ons after the first build?

Once n8n is set up on your infrastructure, additional automations are cheaper to add because the foundation is already there. Most clients commission one bundle, then add one or two more workflows over the following months as new pains surface. Each one is a new Solution, scoped and quoted from your existing setup.

What about running costs?

n8n itself is free and open-source. Hosting runs on a basic VPS on your own infrastructure. If we use AI in any of the workflows those costs scale with volume, sized during design and itemised on your proposal so there are no surprises. The whole thing typically runs for less than a Zapier subscription.

Do we really own it?

Yes. n8n runs on your server. We hand over the credentials, the workflows, the runbooks, the training. If you parted ways with us tomorrow, the automations would keep running exactly as they did the day before. You're never paying us a subscription for software we control.

Will you train our team to maintain it?

Yes. Every build comes with written runbooks. The Starter bundle and Workflow & Ops tier also include a 90-minute training session with the people who'll be using and maintaining the workflows. You're not locked in to us.

What if our process changes after launch?

Things change, that's fine. New workflows and net-new features come in as a new Solution, scoped and fixed-price like the original build. Day-to-day hosting, monitoring and small fixes within the existing scope are covered by Run, our monthly maintenance package. If you'd rather take it from there, we'll hand off cleanly and wish you well.
